Group Sessions

Future Steps consultancy is offering intensive group sessions during the school holidays. These groups focus on sensory difficulties, motor ability and behaviour, as well as a handwriting course to help children maintain or increase their handwriting ability. These intensive programmes are adapted from the SMART Manuals and EARTH Handwriting Manuals, which are used in schools throughout the North East. The next Group Sessions will be running during the 2017 Summer Holidays.

The Future Steps Group Sessions are aimed to initiate progress for children who present with a range of difficulties. Such as;

Difficulty fastening buttons or shoelaces (self-care)
Poor handwriting
Dislikes school
Sensitivity to touch, food, clothing and/or hair brushing etc.
Difficulty making and keeping friends
Disorganised
Poor attention/concentration
Fidgety and can’t stop moving
Difficulty riding a bike
Falling and bumping into things often
Low self-esteem
Behavioural issues
Difficulty Calming and regulating
