Job Summary (Interviews Week Commencing 18th December)
Future Steps Consultancy, Children and Adults Occupational Therapy, provides treatment to clients in our clinic and in schools and trains staff and parents in the key areas of motor skills, handwriting and sensory processing difficulties. The role ise based in different schools that we are contracted to as well as our SI clinic, developing key skills of assessing and treating children with developmental difficulties such as SPD, DCD, ADHD and ASC. You will be trained on how to use standardised Paediatric tests to establish a child’s function and measure clinical outcomes following intervention. You will learn and follow the Future Steps Programmes which are models of structured treatment sessions for small groups and for individuals, as well as individual treatments for our private clients. You will also contribute to Future Steps training sessions provided for staff and parents.
Weekly team meetings are held to ensure clinical development of Future Steps occupational therapists.
Responsibilities and Duties
One to one treatments in Future Steps Clinic
Running individual/group treatments in school
Creating Programmes for use in school and home environments
Assessments & Reports
Delivering group treatment sessions in Future Steps Clinic
Qualifications and Skills
Must be a fully qualified occupational therapist with HCPC registration
It is desirable to have worked with children and/or education provisions but not essential
